Illuminated Rear Center Reflector - The 993 sold in some ROW countries included rear-facing fog lights. These are not present on USA cars. As a result, the center section on USA cars has unused lamp positions under the red lens.
These two positions can be filled with two bulbs wired to the marker and stop light wires on the left or right tail light. By illuminating these two additional positions the 993 benefits from greatly increased visibility at night from the rear and outstanding stop indication.
